‘Dante’ Musgrave, Viscount Southwick, has finally returned to England after years of outrunning scandal throughout all of Europe. Unfortunately, scandal has a way of finding him and he can’t seem to escape it this Christmas.
A solution is offered the form of a ruined young woman in the wilds of the English countryside. It seems simple enough—wed the girl, save her reputation, and fashion himself a new status as a staid married man. There’s one catch though—he has to persuade said ruined woman to accept his proposal.
